Despite being outhit 8-6, the Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers took advantage of 8 errors to come away with a 9-2 win over the Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Eagles. The Bombers took the lead in the top of the second inning when Keelan Speagle singled to score Nolan Wilhour to take a 1-0 lead. Jayce Gillespie would then double to score Bentley Sanders and Speagle to extend the BSE lead to 3-0. That score would hold until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Eagles would add a run to cut the deficit to 3-1. Logan Lach would respond in the top of the fifth inning with an RBI single to score Gillespie to extend the lead to 4-1. Odin/Patoka/Sandoval would add a run in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 4-2, but the Bombers would respond with a 2-run sixth inning, and a 3-run seventh to come away with the 9-2 win. The win improves BSE to 6-7 on the season. The Bombers will be at home on Monday to take on Flora.
