CHBC Falls to Okaw Valley


The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats took an early lead, but could not hang on, falling to the Okaw Valley Timberwolves 5-3. The Bobcats got on the board first in the top of the second inning when Connor Vaughn scored on a passed ball to give CHBC a 1-0 lead. Their lead would be short lived however, as the TImberwolves would get a run back in the top of the third inning to tie the game at 1, before scrong 3 runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead. That score would hold until the top of the sixth inning when when Isaac Wells doubled to score Kale Hardimon, and Cayden Ondes singled to score Wells, cutting the deficit to 4-3. Okaw Valley would get an insurance run in the top of the sixth, and the Bobcats were able to get the tying run on base, but were unable to bring him home, falling to the TImberwolves 5-3. The loss drops CHBC to 4-7 on the season. The Bobcats will be back home on Wednesday to take on Neoga.
