The South Central Cougars scored at least one run in each inning on Monday, coming away with an 11-1 win over the Odin-Patoka-Sandoval Eagles. After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning, the Cougars would take the lead in the bottom half of the first, when Aiden Hoover smoked a 2-run double to give South Central a 2-1 lead. One batter later, Garrett Shumate would score on a passed ball, making the score 3-1. South Central would add to that lead in the bottom of the second when Hudson Moore doubled, scoring Aiden Strobel, a Ryker Dodson sacrifice fly scoring Luke Shumate, and a fielder’s choice from Hoover would score Moore to give the Cougars a 6-1 lead.
