Vandalia Wrestling Set for Dual Team Sectional Against Murphysboro Tonight

It’s a few weeks earlier than in past years, but Vandalia will look to punch their ticket to the Dual Team State Tournament tonight as they take on Murphysboro in the Taylorville Dual Team Sectional. The Vandals dominated the Auburn Regional this past Saturday, easily besting the other teams by well over 100 points to claim their 30^th Regional title. Now they will attempt to become a Dual Team State qualifier for the 25^th time and will have to get past Murphysboro to do it. The two teams have already met twice this season with the Vandals getting a 46-31 win over the Red Devils in the Third Place match of Abe’s Rumble on December 30 before beating them again at home on January 17 in a triangular, 52-19. Tonight’s dual team match will get underway at 6:00pm and we will have the broadcast of the Sectional on 107.1 FM WKRV and streaming at www.vandaliaradio.com and on the Vandalia Radio app.
