SEB boys basketball was held to just two first quarter points and couldn’t overcome their early deficit in a 55-33 loss at Dieterich in National Trail Conference action on Tuesday night. The Eagles fell behind early as the Maroons went on a 17-2 first quarter run. SEB was able to get their offense moving in the right direction but was outscored 15-12 in the quarter to trail 32-14 at halftime. The Eagles played the Maroons close again in the third quarter and they were able to get a 13-11 scoring advantage in the quarter but continued to trail 43-27 at the start of the fourth quarter. Dieterich went on a 12-5 run in the fourth quarter that would close out the game as SEB suffered the 55-33 loss. The Eagles are back to .500 on the season at 12-12 and they drop to 1-5 in the NTC.
