Altamont used a steady stream of balanced scoring to take a first half lead and pulled away in the second half for a 59-38 win over Flora at home on Tuesday night. The first eight minutes were a close fight with the Indians taking a small 11-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. Altamont was able to push that lead out in the second quarter, outscoring Flora 20-16 to go up 31-25 at halftime. The Indians began to really extend their lead out further in the third quarter, going on a 16-7 through the quarter to push their lead out to 47-32. A 12-6 fourth quarter run capped off the 59-38 win for Altamont. The Indians improve to 15-8 on the season and will get back into National Trail Conference action on Friday as they play CHBC at Beecher City High School.
