After a week and a half of postponements, Vandalia finally wrapped up their Benton Invitational Tournament games with a win over Sesser-Valier, 54-37, on Monday night. The Vandals were able to get out to a 16-13 first quarter lead and edged that lead out to 24-18 at halftime. A 14-10 third quarter run pushed their lead out a little further to 38-28 before they outscored Sesser-Valier 16-9 in the fourth quarter to cap off the 54-37 win. Vandalia has evened their record back up for the season to 12-12 and they will play the second of their four games this week on Wednesday when they host Greenville in South Central Conference action.
