Ramsey-Mulberrry Grove girls basketball came up just short in a battle at Windsor/Stew-Stras on Monday night, falling to the Hatchets by a single point, 32-31. The Lady Rams trailed by two, 6-4, at the end of the first quarter and was held to just four points again in the second quarter as they trailed 16-8 at halftime. Ramsey nearly erased their deficit in the third quarter, outscoring the Hatchets 13-7 to cut the WSS lead down to 23-21 by the end of the quarter. The Lady Rams kept the pressure on in the fourth quarter, again outscoring the Hatchets, 10-9, but they came up just short, falling by one point, 32-31. The Lady Rams are now 3-18 on the season and will be back at home on Thursday to take on Edinburg/South Fork.
