The Vandalia Vandals’ offense was held to just 11 points in the second half on Tuesday, as they fell to the Hamilton County Foxes 57-30 at the Benton Invitational Tournament. The first quarter was a back-and-forth affair that saw Hamilton County take a 13-12 lead. The Foxes would see that lead extended after a 13-7 run to take a 26-19 lead into halftime. The Vandals would struggle to come out of the half, getting outscored 26-7 as they entered the fourth quarter trailing 45-26. Vandalia would be outscored 13-4 in the fourth quarter to come away with the 57-30 win. The loss drops Vandalia to 10-11 on the season. The Vandals will take on Mounds Meridian on Thursday in the second consolation semifinal at 7:30 on Thursday.
