The ten National Trail Conference boys basketball coaches met on Saturday morning and hashed out the seeds and bracket for the 90th Annual National Trail Conference’s Boys Basketball Tournament set for Monday, January 26 through Saturday, January 31 at Altamont High School. The Cumberland Pirates, 5-0 in NTC play, are this year’s #1 seed with the 5-0 St. Anthony Bulldogs at #2 and the 5-1 Dieterich Mavon’ Maroons at #3. Making up the middle of the pack is the host Altamont Indians at 2-2 in NTC play as the #4 seed, while the 2-3 North Clay Cardinals are at #5 and the Windsor/Stew-Stras Hatchets at 2-2 are at #6. The bottom four seeded teams that will be a part of Monday’s play-in games are the 1-4 St. Elmo-Brownstown Eagles at #7, the CHBC Bobcats at 1-4 are the #8 seed while the 1-5 Neoga Indians are the #9 seed and the South Central Cougars at 0-3 are the #10 seed.
