Altamont will begin play in the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament today with quarterfinal action against New Athens. The 5-3 Indians head into the game after a Monday win at home over Cisne and are the #4 seed for the tournament while New Athens is the #5 seed and is 7-2 heading into today’s matchup. The Indians and the Yellow Jackets kick off the tournament with the first game at 3:00pm with the winner moving into the championship side of the bracket to take on the winner of the next quarterfinal between #1 Waltonville and #8 Marissa-Coulterville on Saturday at 4:30pm while the losing team moves into the consolation side of the bracket to take on the loser of the Waltonville and Marissa-Coulterville matchup on Saturday at 3:00pm.
