Indians Ride Early Lead and Bell's Big Game to Big Win Over Cisne

Altamont got off to a hot start with a big first quarter and then used a strong third quarter to put the game out of reach on the way to a 70-36 win over Cisne at home on Monday night. The Indians ran out to a 25-10 first quarter lead propelled by Parker Bell and Zaine Miller each racking up eight points in the quarter. The scoring would slow in the second quarter as Altamont just outscored the Running Lions 11-9 in the quarter, but they remained in control of the game with their 36-19 halftime lead. After two first quarter three-pointers earlier in the game, Bell found his long range groove again in the third quarter with a trio of threes as he had 11 points in the quarter and the Indians 19-9 scoring advantage pushed their lead to a commanding 27-point gap, as they took a 55-28 lead into the fourth quarter. Cooper McManaway hit six of his 12 points in the fourth quarter to lead a 15-8 run as Altamont cruised to the 70-36 win. The Indians improve to 5-3 on the season and return to action right after Christmas as they will open up play in the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament on Friday taking on New Athens at 3:00pm.
