CHBC boys basketball played nearly even for three quarters with Patoka-Odin, but couldn’t overcome a low scoring first quarter as the Bobcats suffered a 57-46 loss to the Warriors in the Fifth Place game of the St. Elmo Holiday Tournament on Saturday. CHBC was held to just four points in the first quarter and trailed 15-4 at the end of the first but put up 12 in the second quarter to keep pace with the Warriors 13 in the frame to hold the line without falling further behind as they trailed 28-16 at halftime. The Bobcats found a bit more scoring in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 15-11 as they cut the Patoka-Odin lead down to 39-31 to end the third quarter. The Warriors were able to get an 18-15 advantage over the Bobcats in the fourth quarter as CHBC couldn’t close up their deficit and suffered the 57-46 loss. CHBC drops to 4-6 on the season and will begin play in the Dieterich Boys Holiday Tournament on Friday against Red Hill at 2:30pm.
