The seeds and the schedule for the 53rd Annual FNB Community Bank Vandalia Holiday Tournament were released Monday afternoon with this year’s tournament showing some changes from previous years. The tournament field this year will be just eight teams down from the ten teams that have previously made up the field and teams will now play three pool play games instead of four before going to a crossover round and then place games. Cumberland will be the tournament’s top seed with Nokomis at #2, the host Vandals at #3 and Pana at #4 to make up the top half of the seeds. Making up the bottom four seeds will be #5 Shelbyville, #6 Greenville, #7 Flora and #8 Macon Meridian. Play will begin on Friday, December 26 with pool play games and will continue on Saturday, December 27 with the second and final day of pool play games. After taking Sunday off, the tournament resumes on Monday, December 29 with the crossover games and Tuesday, December 30 will feature two final crossover games and then the Third Place and Championship games.
