SEB Held to Second Lowest Scoring Total of Year in NTC Loss to St. Anthony


St. Elmo-Brownstown was held to just 32 points, one point higher than their lowest scoring total of the year, as they fell to St. Anthony 55-32 in National Trail Conference action at home on Friday night. The Eagles trailed just 18-13 at the end of the first quarter but failed to score over eight points a quarter in the last three quarters, putting up just six points in the second, five points in the third and eight points in the fourth quarter. St. Anthony would score 37 points to SEB’s 19 in that time as the Bulldogs were able to pull away for the 55-32 win. The Eagles drop to 1-2 in the NTC with the loss and now stand at 5-4 overall on the season. SEB will now be off until Wednesday when they play their quarterfinal game of their own St. Elmo Holiday Tournament, facing Patoka-Odin at 7:45pm.
