A rough first half was too much to come back from for CHBC as they suffered a 46-32 loss to Shelbyville at home on Monday night. CHBC was outscored 12-8 in the first quarter and 16-6 in the second quarter to find themselves trailing 29-14 at halftime. The Lady Bobcats stayed close to the Lady Rams in the third quarter but were at an 11-8 disadvantage in the quarter as their deficit became 40-22 heading into the fourth quarter. CHBC broke into double digit scoring in a quarter for the first time in the game in the fourth, outscoring Shelbyville 10-6, but it was not enough to truly mount a comeback as CHBC fell 46-32. The Lady Bobcats are now 1-7 on the season will be at home again on Thursday as they face a tough opponent in St. Anthony as they open up National Trail Conference play.
