BSE Dominates Mattoon for Third Straight Win, Will Play for Fifth Place at Pana Tournament


Brownstown-St. Elmo picked up their third straight win and moved to 3-1 in tournament play with a 46-21 domination of Mattoon on Saturday night in the crossover round of the Pana Girls Thanksgiving Tournament. The Lady Bombers held the Green Wave to just five points in the first quarter and three points in the second quarter as they jumped out to a 30-8 lead at halftime. A 15-6 run in the third quarter extended their lead out to a 32-14 heading into the fourth quarter before a 14-7 run capped off the big 46-21 win. BSE moves to 6-1 on the season and will take on Gillespie at 4:30pm today in the Fifth Place game.
