Altamont girls basketball fell in National Trail Conference action on Friday night as they suffered a 43 to 29 loss to Windsor/Stew-Stras. The Lady Indians struggled offensively early as they were held to a single basket in the first quarter and trailed 14-2 at the start of the second. Altamont would drop in 10 points in the second quarter, but 12 more on the board from the Hatchets had the Lady Indians down 26-12 at halftime. Altamont outscored WSS in the third quarter, 8-6, but still trailed 32-20 to start the fourth and were outscored 11-9 in the quarter as they couldn’t catch the Hatchets and suffered the 43-29 loss. Altamont drops to 10-15 overall on the season and to 3-3 in NTC play. They will be back at home on Monday night as they will celebrate Senior Night with another NTC matchup as they host Neoga.
