Pro Wire Athlete of the Week

Our Pro Wire Athletes of the Week for the Week of May 4th are Grace Lemke of Altamont, Taylor Stone of Mulberry Grove and Kyle Lamb of CHBC.

Altamont’s Grace Lemke threw her second no-hitter of the season in a 1-0 win over South Central in the Third Place game of the National Trail Conference Tournament on Friday. Allowing just 3 walks and racking up 17 strikeouts on Friday, Lemke finished the week with a record of 2-1 in the circle with 20 innings pitched across the three games, giving up 8 runs on 7 hits, walking 14 and striking out 46 batters.

Mulberry Grove’s Taylor Stone took advantage of the Aces one game this week to put on offensive show, going 2 for 4 at the plate with two runs scored and five RBI in a 11-0 win over Ramsey. Both of Stone’s hits would be home runs, one a two run shot in her first at bat of the game and the second a three run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning to put Mulberry Grove over the 10-run threshold for the run rule win.

In their game versus Dieterich on April 25th, CHBC’s Kyle Lamb threw a no-hitter in their 7 to 0 victory.  Kyle struck out 9 and walked just 2 in pitching the full 7 inning no hitter.
