Altamont 3-0 on Week With Friday Win Over Cisne


Altamont won their third game of the week on Friday, beating Cisne, 9-4, at home. The visiting Lions would score three runs in the first inning, but Altamont would cut that lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the first inning, scoring on a fielder’s choice. The Indians took the lead in the bottom of the second with five runs, beginning with a RBI single from Kaidyn Miller and then Dillan Elam reaching base on an error to tie the game at 3-3. A RBI double from Keegan Schultz and a RBI single from Eli Miller brought in three more runs for a 6-3 lead. After a scoreless third, the Indians extended their lead to 7-3 in the fourth on a RBI single from Schultz and after Cisne cut it to 7-4, the Indians got the run back in the fifth as Alec Jahraus scored on a wild pitch to have Altamont up 8-4. The Indians tacked another on in the sixth for good measure, scoring on a RBI groundout from Robbins to close out the scoring for the 9-4 win. Altamont is now 18-6 on the season and will next play on Tuesday at Mulberry Grove.
