South Central Upended by St. Anthony

South Central had a rough start on Friday and fell on the road to St. Anthony, 16-1, in four innings. The Cougars gave up 10 first inning runs and committed three of their four errors in the game in the first inning. St. Anthony would put up another six runs in the bottom of the second inning for a 16-0 lead over South Central who would not score until the top of the fourth inning. After Colton Smith led off the inning with a double, Maddox Robb reached base on an error as the Cougars put runners at the corners. A sacrifice fly to center field by Coen West would score Smith, but that is all the Cougars would get in the game as St. Anthony would get the run rule win over South Central. The Cougars are now 13-9-1 on the season. They were set to play in the Centralia Tournament today, but that tournament has been canceled.

South Central Offense:

Callaway Smith – BB

Colton Smith – 1-2, R

Maddox Robb – BB

Coen West – RBI

Brody Markley – 1-2
