St. Elmo-Brownstown softball suffered a 19-3 loss to Dieterich in National Trail Conference action on Thursday. After Dieterich scored one run in the top of the first inning, SEB would tie things up at 1-1 on a RBI single by Alivia Claycomb in the bottom half of the inning. Dieterich would put up a big number in the second, scoring eight runs to retake the lead at 9-1 and would add on three runs in the third and fourth innings as SEB found themselves trailing 15-1 midway through the fourth. The Eagles would bring in a run on a RBI walk by Camila Haslett and Taylor Claycomb singled to bring in another run as SEB cut the Dieterich lead to 15-3. The Maroons pushed another four runs across the plate in the top of the fifth to further edge their lead out to 19-3. SEB was unable to put any more runs on the board in the bottom of the fifth as they would suffer the 19-3 loss. SEB falls to 1-12 on the season and 1-7 in the NTC.
