Early Runs Get Altamont 3-1 Win Over North Clay

All of the games scoring ended up coming in the first inning and a half as Altamont baseball got a 3-1 win at North Clay on Thursday. The Indians would get a pair of runners on base in the top of the first inning, but they would be stranded on base to end the inning. Altamont had an answer in the top of the second inning as Clayton Arnold drew a one out walk before Kaidyn Miller belted a two-run home run to give Altamont the 2-1 lead. Kade Milleville would walk and then Kaden Davis would fly out for the Indians second out of the inning but Nate Stuemke and Dillan Elam would draw back to back walks after that out to load the bases. On a 3-1 count, Keegan Schultz singled to score Milleville and edge the lead to 3-1 before a strikeout ended the inning.
