Our Pro Wire Athletes of the Week for the week of April 13th are Kale Konrad of Vandalia, Ben Roedl of Altamont and the BSE girls 4×400 relay team.

Through the first 14 games of the year, Kale Konrad has been the Vandals top hitter.  So far, Kale is hitting .600 on the season with 18 runs scored and 10 stolen bases leading off this year for the Vandals and playing a solid third base.

Altamont Track junior sprinter and jumper Ben Roedl broke two school records in the Indians meet at T-Town on Tuesday. Roedl broke the school’s high jump record that was nearly 40 years old, jumping 6’ 7”, to surpass the previous record of 6’ 6” set by Tom Meier in 1985. Roedl followed it up with another record setting performance, breaking the triple jump record with a jump of 43’ 8” to surpass the previous record of 42’ 9”.

The Brownstown-St. Elmo girls track 4×400 relay team set a new school record in the event at their meet at Newton on Tuesday. The team of Katie Berner, Addie Sasse, Presley Williams and Cordelia Lytle ran a time of 4:24.43 to break the previous school record of 4:37.94 that was set just a year ago by a team that also included Lytle, Sasse and Berner.
