The Vandalia School Board made several personnel decisions as their Thursday meeting.
The resignation of Brian Kern was accepted as Vandals boys basketball coach. Coach Kern returned to the sidelines this past year after previously leading the program from 2002 through 2006. Coach Kern led a mostly young and inexperienced team this past year to a 13-18 record.
The Vandalia School Board has hired Keely Smith as the new Lady Vandals Volleyball Coach. Coach Smith takes over the program after being the JV and assistant coach this past year.
The Vandalia School Board also approved several other sports personnel issues—
Jason Hagy as Assistant High School Softball Coach
Emily Janssen as Volunteer Assistant High School Softball Coach
Nicole Podergois and Melissa Wells as Junior High Boys Track Co-Coaches
