Our Pro Wire Athlete of the Week for the week of March 16th is the Vandalia Junior High School Wrestling Team.
This past Saturday, the Vandals claimed their second straight IESA Wrestling State Championship as a team–compiling a total of 139.5 points to top second place Gibson City by better than 20 points. The Vandals also brought home two individuals titles with Dayton Patterson winning the State Title at 65 pounds and Zayne Zinkgraf winning the title at 135 pounds.
