The Lady Vandals fell into an early deficit on Thursday night and lost to Pana on the road, 63-46, in South Central Conference action. Vandalia would manage just three baskets from the field and a free throw in the first quarter as they would trail 20-7 by the end of the quarter. The Lady Vandals would get more offense going in the second quarter, with Vandalia going 6 of 9 from the free throw line and adding five field goals but would continue to trail 35-24 at halftime. The Lady Vandals would be held to single digit scoring in the third quarter with only nine points as they would find themselves down 49-33 to start the fourth quarter. Pana would outscore the Lady Vandals 14-13 in the fourth quarter and Vandalia would fall, 63-46. Vandalia is now 19-9 on the season and stands at 4-3 in the SCC. The Lady Vandals have two more SCC games remaining coming up during the last week of the regular season next week, starting with Greenville at home on Monday. Vandalia will then host Roxana in non-conference action on Wednesday for Senior Night before wrapping up the regular season on Thursday at Southwestern in their final SCC game.
