BSE 8th Grade Girls Beat Peoria Christian, 26-16; Make Final Four for First Time Ever

BSE got on the board first for a 2-0 lead and would push it to 4-0. End of 1st Quarter: BSE leads Peoria Christian 4-0.

BSE and PC would each put up three points in the second quarter. Halftime: BSE leads Peoria Christian 7-3.

Scoring picks up for both sides in the third quarter with BSE outscoring PC 15-8 in the quarter. End of 3rd Quarter: BSE leads Peoria Christian 22-11.

BSE and PC paced each other with five and four points in the final quarter. FINAL: BSE beats Peoria Christian, 26-16.

Dayana Haslett – 13 points

Madi Miller – 9 points

Camila Haslett – 4 points

Saturday afternoon’s win is the first state tournament win in program history for the Bombers after going 0-3 in their previous three trips to the 7th or 8th grade tournaments. The win moves BSE into the Final Four and guarantees that they will bring home a trophy. They will play their semifinal game on Saturday at 6:30pm taking on the winner of the final quarterfinal game between Paris Crestwood and Bourbonnais St. George.
