(Undated) — Mitchell Trubisky is excited to compete for the Bears starting quarterback job. Speaking to the media last week, the fourth-year signal caller said he wasn’t surprised when the team traded for Nick Foles in mid-March. He said the move did make him angry but in a good way, adding that he has been motivated ever since. Trubisky was selected by the Bears with the second pick in the 2017 draft. He played in the Pro Bowl following the 2018 season after helping lead the team to the NFC North championship with a 12-and-4 record. However the North Carolina product and the Bears’ offense struggled much of the 2019 season. Asked what led to the offense regressing, Trubisky cited health and a lack of details as two major issues.
