The track at Vandalia High School, which is used not just by the school district but the community as well, is closed for at least the next three weeks as it undergoes a resurfacing project. The all-weather surface will receive the facelift as it has begun to show wear in several areas and has already underwent previous spot repairs after being used for about 10 years. The project will be completed by Byrne and Jones Construction at a cost $104,777 with the funds for the project coming from the 1% facility sales tax.
