(St. Louis, MO) — Jim Edmonds is helping in the fight against the coronavirus. The former Cardinals outfielder donated his plasma at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis on Monday, over a month after he tested positive for COVID-19. The plasma will be used to treat patients unable to fight off infection. Edmonds was tested for the virus in March after taking a trip to Nashville. The eight-time Gold Glove Award-winner and four-time All-Star played 18 seasons in the majors with the Cards, Angels, Padres, Cubs, Brewers and Reds.
