/ I70Sports

(Louisville, KY)  —  The University of Louisville men’s basketball program is being served with four allegations in relation to the recruiting investigation that rocked the sport.  Athletic Director Vince Tyra describes the school’s reaction.

A single level-one violation has been issued and three level-two violations are also included.  The level one violation is the most serious and it involves “an improper recruiting offer, and subsequent extra benefits to the family of an enrolled student athlete.”  The scandal led to Brian Bowen the Second, a Louisville signee, being suspended and head coach Rick Pitino, along with athletic director Tom Jurich, losing their jobs.  Top school officials including Tyra released a statement saying the school will respond within 90 days.  The message goes on to say “we will not hesitate to push back where the evidence does not support the NCAA’s interpretations or allegations of charges.”
