(Cooperstown, NY) — The 2020 National Baseball Hall of Fame Class will have to wait until next summer to be inducted. The Hall of Fame announced it is postponing July’s ceremony until 2021. Derek Jeter, Larry Walker, Ted Simmons and Marvin Miller will all be enshrined then, along with any new inductees.

(St. Petersburg, FL) — Some full-time employees of the Rays will be out of work come this weekend. The Tampa Bay Times reports the club plans to furlough less than half of its 400-to-500 full-time workers starting Saturday. The Miami Marlins will also be reportedly be implementing this cost-cutting measure.

(Jacksonville, FL) — Former Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith is facing a charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. The 29-year-old was arrested Wednesday at his Jacksonville home. ESPN reports Smith is accused of having sex multiple times with a 17-year-old girl, both at his home and in his car last year.
