(Chicago, IL) — The Bulls are making history by hiring Marc Eversley as their new general manager. ESPN reports Chicago has agreed to a deal with Sixers assistant GM. Eversley becomes the first African-American GM in Bulls history. He comes to Chicago following stints with the Sixers, Wizards, Raptors and Nike.

(Undated) — Some NBA players could be back working out in familiar territory by the end of the week. ESPN reports the league plans to reopen team facilities on Friday in states where stay-at-home restrictions have been loosened. Group workouts and organized team activities are still prohibited.

(New Orleans, LA) — The New Orleans Saints are discussing a contract with free agent quarterback Jameis Winston. ESPN reports the two sides are discussing a one-year deal. The Saints need a back-up quarterback after Teddy Bridgewater joined Carolina. The Saints also re-signed the versatile Taysom Hill to a two-year extension worth 21-million. Hill is expected to battle Winston for the back-up job, but can also play receiver and running back.

(Undated) — ESPN’s ten-part documentary about the 90’s Bulls is four episodes in. The third episode of the docuseries “The Last Dance” focused a lot on Dennis Rodman’s role on the team, as well as his off the court antics. The Bulls-Pistons heated rivalry in the late 80’s and early 90’s was also featured. Phil Jackson’s childhood and journey to becoming the Bulls head coach was detailed in episode four. Episodes five and six air next Sunday.
>>Tulane Hooper Charged With Murder
(Henry County, GA) — Tulane men’s basketball player Teshaun Hightower is facing murder chargers in his home state of Georgia. He was arrested on Saturday and remains in Henry County Jail without bail. Hightower is accused of shooting a 24-year-old man on April 8th. He led Tulane in scoring with 15.9 points per game this past season and recently declared for the NBA Draft.
