The Lady Vandals went 4-1 on the day and took 2nd place at the Altamont Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Vandals beat Nokomis 25-12, 25-10 to open up pool play and then had another two-set victory over South Central, 25-16, 25-18. Vandalia then finished pool play with a 25-15, 25-23 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City to get the pool’s top-seed going into the crossover round.
In the crossover match, Vandalia beat Greenville 25-16, 25-20 before falling to host Altamont 11-25, 14-25 in the Championship match.
The Lady Vandals are now 5-2 on the season and will be off until Thursday when they travel to Gillespie for an SCC matchup.

The Lady Comets went 3-2 and finished in 3rd place in the Altamont Volleyball Tournament. Greenville was 2-1 in pool play with wins over Edinburgh and Cumberland and a loss to host Altamont. That gave Greenville a #2 seed for the crossover round where they fell to Vandalia 16-25, 25-20 to move them into the 3rd place match where they would get a two-set win over Cowden-Herrick Beecher City to take 3rd.
The Lady Comets are now 5-2 on the season and will be off until Thursday when they will host Litchfield in an SCC matchup.
