Three area girls will represent their schools at the Sectional level of the Country Financial 3-Point Showdown after finishing in the top 4 of their respective Regional competitions.
In Class 2A, Vandalia High School senior Lanee McNary hit 10 of 15 three point attempts to be the top finisher at the Gillespie Regional. McNary will now shoot at the Greenville Sectional prior to the Championship game on Thursday, February 20.
In Class 1A, Brownstown-St. Elmo sophomore Audrey Wilhour connected on 10 of 15 attempts to be the top finisher at the Louisville North Clay Regional. Wilhour will shoot at the Casey-Westfield Sectional prior to its Championship game on Thursday, February 20.
Also in Class 1A, Ramsey junior Gretta Simon was one of the top four finishers at Effingham St. Anthony Regional to advance to the Sectional level. She will also shoot at the Casey-Westfield Sectional prior to its Championship game on Thursday, February 20.
