With one state finals competition already under their belts this year, the Greenville and St. Elmo-Brownstown Cheer teams are preparing to enter the IHSA postseason tomorrow, both competing at the Carterville Sectional.
Greenville, who won the Edwardsville Sectional last year and eventually would place 7th in the 2019 State Finals, will compete in the Small Team-1 division. They are scheduled to perform Saturday morning at 9:24am. The awards for the Small Team-1 division will then be announced at about 11:00am.
St. Elmo-Brownstown will be competing in the Small Team-2 division. They will be performing at 3:20pm and the awards for Small Team-2 will be announced a little after 4:00pm.
The top 5 teams in each division will advance to the IHSA State Cheer Finals on February 7 and 8 at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington.
