Vandals 12U Baseball Claims Championship of Future Champions June Jam

Vandals 12U baseball went undefeated this weekend, claiming the Championship of the Future Champions June Jam Tournament held at the Future Champions Sports Complex in Jacksonville. The Vandals opened up tournament play with an 18-6 win over AL Post 32 Patriots (Stars) before shutting out the Chatham Braves 10-0 to wrap up pool play 2-0. Their pool play finish gave them the #2 seed heading into bracket play where they had a quarterfinal round BYE and then matched up with the Chatham again in the semifinals with the Vandals again victorious over the Braves, 10-2, to advance on to the Championship game. In the title game, the Vandals took on #1 seed Springfield Arsenal and grabbed a 5-3 win. With their Championship and going 4-0 on the weekend, the Vandals end their season with a record of 18-14-1.
