Brownstown-St. Elmo girls basketball sandwiched a tight one-point win in their second game of the day with big wins to start and the day on Tuesday for Day 2 of the SIBC Shootout in Effingham. BSE routed Lutheran South 51-17 to start off their day before coming out on top 39-38 in what was a very physical, hard fought battle against St. Joseph-Ogden. After getting a big rest, the lady Bombers came back and finished the day with a 57-28 win over Carterville. BSE is now 5-1 on the week with three more games to play today on the final day. BSE takes on Paris at 8:30am before facing host Effingham at 11:50am. They will then wrap up the day and shootout playing fellow National Trail Conference opponent North Clay at 3:10pm.
