Fayette County Freedom 10U-Clay took the title of the Fayette County Freedom 10U Softball Tournament held this weekend at Shed Field in Vandalia. Freedom 10U-Clay picked up a dominant 13-1 win over the Effingham Flame to open up pool play before getting another big win, 14-3 over the Liberty Rebels. Freedom 10U-Clay kept their big play going in bracket play, matching up again with the Effingham Flame and got another big win, 11-2, to earn their spot in the Championship game. In the title game, Freedom 10U-Clay beat the Midwest Swing 7-3 to claim the Championship. Freedom 10U-Clay is now 14-6 on the Spring/Summer season.
