Vandalia Jr. High’s Nestrick Captures Second State Medal With 5th Place Finish in the 200m Dash

Vandalia Jr. High 8^th grader Sydnee Nestrick picked up her second top 5 finish of the IESA 3A State Track Meet on the second and final day of the meet on Saturday with a fifth-place finish in the 200m Dash. Nestrick ran a personal best time of 26.98 seconds to finish fifth and get on the podium for the second straight day. The 200 time also broke Nestrick’s own school record for the third time this season. On Friday, Nestrick finished second in the 100m Dash. Nestrick’s 12 points she picked up with the two place finishes put Vandalia at 15^th in the team standings for 3A 8^th Grade Girls.
