CHBC baseball had no answer for North Clay’s defense on Friday as the Bobcats were no-hit in a 22-0 loss to the Cardinals to wrap up regular season play. The Bobcats made contact and put the ball in play, but were only able to reach base once on a hit by pitch of Isaac Miller with two outs in the bottom of the second inning. North Clay scored 14 second inning runs, five in the third inning and another three in the fourth inning to trigger the run rule win. CHBC ends the regular season at 9-14 and will have a very familiar opponent in their first game of the postseason as they will take on South Central on Monday at 4:30pm at Lions Field in Kinmundy in the quarterfinals of the North Clay 1A Regional. The two teams just met up on May 19 with the Bobcats beating the Cougars 8-3. The winner of the regional quarterfinal will go on to take on host and top seed North Clay on Wednesday at 4:00pm in Louisville.
