CHBC softball wrapped up Egyptian Illini Conference play on Thursday with a 14-4 win at Martinsville. The Lady Bobcats took and early 1-0 lead but Martinsville tied the game a 1-1 in the bottom of the first inning. CHBC responded by pushing six runs across the plate in the second inning for a 7-1 lead. The BlueStreaks closed the CHBC lead down to 7-4 with three runs in the third inning before the fourth inning went by as the only scoreless inning in the game. CHBC started their offense moving again in the fifth inning with three runs and added on another four runs for good measure to push their lead out to 14-4 and close out the win in six innings. CHBC is now 4-16 on the season and wraps EIC play at 3-1. The Lady Bobcats will play at Central A&M today before competing in the Egyptian Illini Conference Softball Tournament in Greenville on Saturday.
