Vandalia was able to put a baserunner on in the bottom half of the inning as Liah Hoyle singled to left field with one out, but she as caught stealing third and a fly out ended the inning. A pair of walks and a single loaded the bases in the top of the fifth inning for the Lady Rams before a hard ground ball by Benhoff resulted in a Vandalia error scoring Emily Rhodes and Mia Waggoner, extending the lead to 13-0 before a Kelli Cook RBI groundout scored Williams and pushed the score to 14-0.
