The South Central Cougars scored all three of their runs in the top of the fifth inning to come away with a 3-2 win against the Neoga Indians. Neoga got on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. That lead held until the top of the fifth inning when a pair of RBI singles from Hudson Moore and Ryker Dodson gave the Cougars a 2-1 lead. Aiden Hoover reached on an error, allowing Moore to score, extending the South Central lead to 3-1. The Indians got a run back in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 3-2, but the Cougars kept Neoga off the board through the last two innings to secure the 3-2 win. The win improves South Central to 7-16 on the season. The Cougars will be back home on Tuesday to take on BSE.
