The Fayette County Freedom 10U-Clay softball team went 3-1 on the weekend to take second place in the Sandlot Kids Spring Fling in Hillsboro. Freedom picked up a 21-1 win over Liberty Rebels in their first game and then followed up with an 8-4 win over Midwest Swing in their second game. That set them up for a semifinal matchup with their fellow Freedom 10U – Sefton team and Clay’s team picking up a 3-0 win to earn a spot in the Championship. Freedom’s only loss of the tournament came in the title game as they suffered a very slim 3-2 loss to the Altamont Lady Tribe 10U 3-2.
