The Altamont Indians couldn’t overcome a 3-run first inning, falling to the North Clay Cardinals 5-0 on Thursday. North Clay scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 3-0 lead, and added two runs in the second to extend their lead to 5-0. The Indians were held to just three hits, a double from Brayden Elam and a single from Zaine Miller, but were unable to crack the scoreboard, falling to the Cardinals 5-0. The loss drops Altamont to 13-6 on the year. The Indians will be back home on Friday to take on Robinson.
