The Ramsey/Mulberry Grove Rams got out to an early 2-0 lead, but couldn’t hang on, falling to the Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Eagles 5-2 on Tuesday. The Rams jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI single from Zion Morrison and an RBI fielder’s choice from Jackson Elam, giving them a 2-0 lead. The Eagles would get a run back in the bottom of the first to make the score 2-1. That score would hold until the bottom of the fourth when OPS would score a run to tie the game at 2, before scoring 3 runs in the fifth to give the Eagles a 5-2 lead. The Rams were held to just three base runners in the sixth and seventh innings, but could not crack the scoreboard, falling to OPS 5-2. The loss drops Ramsey-Mulberry Grove to 0-14 on the season. The Rams will be back on the road on Wednesday to take on Edinburg.
