Altamont Uses 3-run Fourth Inning in Win Over Richland County


The Altamont Indians scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to come away with a 3-1 win over the Richland County Tigers on Friday. After three scoreless innings of play, Richland County broke the tie with a sacrifice fly to take a 1-0 lead. Altamont would tie the game in the bottom of the fourth when Blake Berg drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game at 1. Will Reardon would give the Indians the lead with a bases-loaded walk of his own, and Kaiden Wolff would come around to score on an error to give Altamont a 3-1 lead. Kade Milleville would proceed to hold the Tigers to just three hits over the next two innings, securing the Indians’ 3-1 win. Altamont is now 13-5 on the season, and has now won 10 of its last 11 games. The Indians will be back home on Monday to take on Nokomis.
