Brownstown-St. Elmo couldn’t find a way to stop Dieterich late as they suffered a 17-3 loss at home to the Maroons on Tuesday. Dieterich took a 2-0 first inning lead and added on to it in the top of the third with more runs making it a 7-0 lead. BSE broke through and got on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the inning with three runs to cut it down to a 7-3 ball game. Dieterich however added on two runs in the top of the fourth inning and then put up an 8-run fifth inning to pull ahead 17-3. The Bombers had no answer for the Maroons in the final two innings and took the 17-3 loss. BSE is now 5-7 on the season and they will go on the road on Thursday to face Odin-Patoka-Sandoval with the game to be played in Patoka.
